Grand Island Train Accident – Man Dies in Train Accident

Grand Island Train Accident – A pedestrian who was attempting to traverse a stopped Union Pacific train lost his life late Wednesday morning close to the convergence of Broadwell Avenue and Front Street.

The grown-up male, not yet distinguished, died at the scene.

The cargo train was quit, getting ready to maneuver into the rail yard on the east part of town.

Police were called to the scene at 11:48 a.m.

The man was moving from the south finish of the intersection toward the north side.

The contact might have happened quite recently east of the track’s Broadwell crossing.

Body parts could be seen on the tracks. Police hadn’t yet attempted to distinguish him. Elliott assessed that the man was in his 40s.

Elliott was inquired as to whether the circumstance might have been a self-destruction endeavor.

The mishap, Elliott said, would affect Grand Island traffic the remainder of the evening.

Another train group was rolling in from Columbus to assume control over, he said.
