Accident On Dallas Highway Today – An 11-year-old kid was killed when he was struck by a vehicle while endeavoring to go across Interstate Highway 820 in Fort Worth on Tuesday night, police say.
The kid was one of three kids who attempted to cross the at Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth police said. Another youngster was treated at the scene for minor wounds.
Police said the driver who struck the kid halted and remained at the scene.
The southward side of the thruway resumed soon after 8 p.m. Tuesday.
At 11:41 p.m. Saturday, a dark 2006 GMC Sierra — driven by James A. Wheaton, 39, of Dallas — was voyaging northward on Hiram Acworth Highway (State Route 92). One more vehicle was halted in the northward path of the thruway, holding on to take a left-hand turn onto Kensley Way, as indicated by police.
